Antonio Brown Appeals NFL to Wear Leather Helmet

Antonio Brown Petitions NFL to use leather helmet

OAKLAND, CA — After his helmet appeal was denied by the NFL, Antonio Brown has submitted another request for an outdated helmet model to the NFL front office. This time, Brown is requesting permission to wear a 1915 Barclay’s leather helmet replica during the upcoming season. The request is widely seen as a “fuck you” move by Brown’s camp. The wide receiver intends to fight tooth and nail on this request in order to waste as much of the league’s time and money as possible in the process.

On Monday, AB released a video on Instagram of himself working out with his trainers in Florida, while wearing a leather helmet. The video was captioned “Retro Ballin” followed by a fire, a sack of money, and a tongue emoji.

Brown released a statement on the pending appeal:

“It’s my body and I should be able to compete in any variety of equipment that does not impede my ability to perform at the highest level. This is an example of blatant overreach by the NFL on my personal liberties. It is my choice whether or not to wear equipment that may significantly increase my likelihood of being horrifically mangled on the football field. The NFL is forgetting that you can’t hurt AB, so he ain’t worried about injuries. He’s an indestructible canister of pure energy, baby.”

The NFL has not made an official comment on Antonio’s second helmet grievance.
