DWade Changes Mind, Will Sit in Solidarity with Son

CHATSWORTH, CA — Future NBA Hall of Famer, Dwayne Wade, has reversed on his decision to boycott Sierra Canyon’s championship game. Wade has been vocal about his frustration over his son’s lack of playing time throughout the season. The former point guard initially stated that he would not be in attendance because his son wasn’t going to play, only to change his mind hours later.

DWade plans to sit in the bleachers in solidarity with his son, Zaire Wade, who will likely also be sitting for the entire game. The NBA star will also be attending with an arsenal of incendiary criticism, ready to be unleashed. Sources confirm that Wade is prepared to leak statements to the OC Register and the Chatsworth Times in the event of a Sierra Canyon loss. These statements will be dripping with catty, passive aggression and Little League dad undertones highlighted with the classic “If my boy had played…” hypothetical. The former shooting guard is “well prepared” to make this special moment for these kids about himself and his personal vendetta against the coaching staff, if the opportunity arises.

Zaire has found it difficult to break into the rotation of the deeply talented Sierra Canyon roster. The team consists of two five star prospects, Ziaire Williams and B.J. Boston, along with four star recruit, Terren Frank, and Amari Bailey, one of the top prospects in the 2022 class. The younger Wade has also dealt with a string of injuries throughout his senior campaign. The most recent of which (strained hamstrings) occurred in late January after the guard sat down on the bench too quickly. The guard has been working with an LA-area orthopedist to improve his sitting form, which should help him at the next level.

Zaire is currently a three-star recruit with offers from DePaul, TCU, Miami, Rhode Island, and Toledo. After a full season of pine riding, the younger Wade is allegedly looking more seriously at his offers from Toledo and DePaul.
